Baptism

I Have Decided
to Follow Jesus

Baptism is a public declaration of the new life you have found in Jesus Christ. It symbolizes leaving behind your old life of sin and being raised into a new life through Him. Just as Jesus died, was buried, and rose again, baptism represents the transformation that takes place in the heart of every believer.

As Romans 6:4 says, “For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism… now we also may live new lives.”

If you have never been baptized, or if you are ready to recommit your life to Jesus, we would love to walk alongside you in that next step of faith. Throughout the year, we offer opportunities for baptism and would be honored to celebrate with you as you publicly share your faith in Christ.

“I’ve Been Baptized… What’s Next?”

Baptism is an incredible step in your journey of following Jesus, but it is only the beginning. God never intended for us to walk through life and faith alone. At Dayton First, we believe the Christian life is meant to be lived in community, growing together, encouraging one another, and learning to follow Jesus more deeply every day.

One of your next steps may be joining Growth Track or getting connected to a group where you can build meaningful relationships, grow in your understanding of Scripture, and discover how God wants to use your life to make a difference. We would love to walk alongside you as you continue growing in your faith journey.
